I Made a Clan!

I decided to make a clan after my last clan got totally demolished.  The clan I made is called BlackGround (clever, I know).  I don't have a clan emblem yet, but if someone would be kind enough to gift me one, I would be so grateful.  Anyways, what I mostly wanted to say was... YOU SHOULD JOIN!  If you are in need of a clan, or you want to be with me, apply!  I'll try to accept all applications because I want this clan to get big.

Description- A modern version of the classic rifle from the 1860's, considered to be the gun that won the West.  Up to 8 shot's can be loaded, and it has a scope to improve accuracy.

    There is currently an even going on that allows you to get the M1866 sniper (if you're wondering) for free.  All you have to do is get 100 kills(with any weapon) on the following maps.

• Kill Creek
• Costa Recon
• Roadkill
• Snow Valley
• Ghost Town

    Doing this, is actually really easy,  and you can get this gun five times if you get 100 kills on each of these maps.  I already got two of them in about an hour.  I'm not sure if you can get it more than once on a map.

  
    Now to the review!  The M1866 looks amazingly good stat wise.  I believe it has the highest damage out of all 100 accuracy snipers at 95.  Most times, it will be a two hit kill.  But it will often be a 1 shot kill in the back, or if they are damaged even a little bit.  The damage is definitely nothing to worry about on this gun.
    Next is portability, it's one of the fastest you can get on a sniper at 35.  Sniper wise, it's like an SMG, but it's a little heavy gun wise.  You probably don't want to be running around with it that much, or any sniper in general.
    The Rate of Fire is definitely one of the best parts about this gun.  It is a 35 and basically shoots as fast as you can click.  It's like a shotgun.  You might be thinking that this gun is perfect for close quarters.  Well, it can be...if they're a foot in front of you.  Then you can spam away and almost be guaranteed a kill.  I tried taking this into a snipers only game on Junk Flea.  It didn't work out to well.  Also, the reloading is also very unique for a sniper, it reloads like shotgun, so you are able to shoot mid reload.  That was very useful in the Snipers only game because I was constantly reloading and shooting.  It was awesome.
    Accuracy is 100.  You pretty much now what you're getting there.  Something that definitely helps out the accuracy is the scope it comes with.  It is very different from the other sniper scopes you might see.  It's pretty much a really magnified ACOG.  It's a tiny red dot sight that is perfect for headshots.  I don't know if it's just me, but it seems that the scope is a little more sensitive than most other sniper scopes.  It's probably just because it's pretty magnified.
    Recoil is 66.  I wouldn't worry about it on any bolt action snipers.  It's not even that bad though.

    Overall, this gun is a lot of fun to use because of how different it is compared to all the other snipers.  It's sort of like a sniper/shotgun hybrid.  It's a pretty deadly gun and I would definitely recommend it.

Hackers, Could They Be Gone?

Hello guys, today I wanted to talk about hackers.  I know, I know, I hate them too.  And I used to think it was crazy how Nexon could allow so many people to abuse their game.  But these past few days after Nexon announced they would be taking action, I have yet to see a single hacker. I know what you're thinking, "could this be the end?".  I think no, but I believe there will be a lot less and shorter living hackers.  I mean, you couldn't completely get rid of them.  If people can hack into the Nation Government, i'm pretty sure they could hack Combat Arms.  But that's not the point here, the point is, you won't be seeing them as often, and that's all that really matters.  That's all I really care about.  I don't know, have you seen any obvious hackers lately? If you have, tell me so I can see if what i'm talking about is really true.

New Map: Costa Recon

Sitrep: The insurgent forces are tipped off that their supply outpost, OP Slaven 152, is in danger, and decide their supplies must be relocated. Unfortunately, the military detects their relocation efforts. Now the insurgents must secure their supplies by either blowing them up or moving them before the imminent military raid.

I know Costa Recon has been out for a while now, but I would like to give you my thoughts on the newest map. We haven't seen a tropical map in a while. The last couple have been Urban.  But Costa Recon is probably the most tropical in Combat Arms, besides Dark Forest or that one map with a plane haha.  Anyways, I really like this map.  Especially for sniping.  It's perfect for sniping across the map.  If you get on one of the roofs, you can easily get about 10 kills in one life.

There is basically two parts to this map, the beach, and the warehouses and buildings.  The beach is great for getting sniped.  Anyone running along the beach is almost guaranteed to get sniped.  It sure has happened to me a lot.  Also, if you can make it through the beach, it is the fastest way to get to the other team's base, but it's not really likely unless you have no snipers allowed.  The buildings is a slower, but safer way to get through the map, but watch out for snipers on the roof.  On top of the warehouses is a great place to snipe because you are able to see people running through the buildings and the beach.  You are also able to duck down quick if you are being shot at.

I think this map is great for CTF because of it's size and shape, but that's just my opinion.  This is a map that is actually a lot of fun to play on.  But I really do recommend a sniper, or a gun with a scope such as the G36E for the counter snipers.  That's about all I can say about it.  And if my computer didn't suck so much, I would be able to record a video and commentary on it, but it get's way too laggy

Sad Face

 I'm back and I'm sorry.  I haven't had a post in a while, and I really feel bad about it.  These past few weeks have been pretty hectic for me with basketball and school.  BUT!  I AM BACK!

I'd like to talk about what's been going down in Combat Arms recently...

Now, you can buy the Shapka and Tiger Strider in the shop!  Isn't that exciting?  Also, if you buy now, you get free GP!  Exactly how much depends on how long you buy these items for... The Shapka comes in 30 day and 90 day lengths.  If you get it for 30 days, it's a 1,000 free GP, 90 days is 3k GP. The Tiger Strider only comes in the length of 90 days and 3k bonus GP.  So go out and buy your Russian Beanie hat and Boomerang now!

Nexon comes out with a "Zero Tolerance Hack Policy".  What this basically means is, everyone's accounts have been totally wiped out and deleted, regardless if you are a hacker or not...I'm just joking you!  What it actually means is Nexon finally realized how many hackers there are in Combat Arms and how much of a problem it is.  This means there will be "Large scale punitive(whatever that means) actions being taken on a regular basis, including permanent bans".  Lots of big words in there haha.  I hope to never see another hacker again!

My Clan is almost a level 3!  If you don't know about my clan, it's called .NikE  Me and my friends started it and it's pretty awesome.  You should go apply for it now if you want to be cool like me(because i'm cool).

Compensation for the Downtime on 2/21!  Nexon is practically rewarding people for making Combat Arms better.  If you didn't know, there was a two hour maintenance fix thing on the 21st.  All guns that were active that day are now extended for 24 hours during the next maintenance.  Hooray!  There will also be 2x EXP and GP on Saturday from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm PST!

How I Get Free NX

I don't have a lot of money haha. It's true. Even though I wish I could,  i'm not able to just go out and by NX whenever I want :( Therefore in order to review guns in Combat Arms I have to rely on a free option.

    I have tried to do those god awful surveys that Nexon has up on their website.  I haven't gotten a single one to validate, what a rip off!  I guess putting your name as McLovin and making your address 12345 Poopstreet just doesn't cut it.

1.      Sign Up  What I do to get my NX is use a website called Swagbucks.  You've probably heard about it and maybe even have an account already.  Check it out at this Link (This is a referral link, if you would like to help the blog out, please sign up here)  If you're a jerk and don't want to help me out just search Swagbucks in google.(Don't take this too seriously, I just want you to know a way to help contribute to the blog)
2. Earn Swagbucks  I really like how this website works.  The whole point is to get "Swagbucks".  These can be attained in many ways.  For example you can search the web, watch videos, play games(I'll bet my readers like that), and a lot of other things.  The site is constantly adding new things. In my opinion searching is the easiest way.
3.     First let me tell you about one of my personal experiences with Nexon and my whole getting free NX.  You might not know this and you might not care, but a while ago, Nexon accepted Ultimate Gaming Cards.  Ultimate Gaming Cards are like NX cards but UGC cards can be used in many other games too.  Then, they stopped accepting them... OMG NEXON WTF? WHY?  Nobody really knows why.  All I know is that it made my free NX gettingism harder.  It really isn't a big deal, it's just more complicated.  You see, I would earn SBs, spend them on UGCs and have codes instantly emailed to me.  I would redeem them and VOILA! Free NX in teh pocket. Oh Yeah!  Those were good times, but now I have to get Amazon E-Gift Cards and have and spend the gift cards on actual physical cards. Which sucks, but hey, it's free and free makes me happy.
4. Spend the Swagbucks If you want NX the easiest way to do this is buy Amazon E-Gift Cards.  Accumulate these until you have enough for a card.  Buy the card, it will be shipped to you.  Validate the card online and you now have free NX congrats!  Sounds like a lot of work doesn't it?  Well when you actually do it, it's really is nothing.  Just get the bucks and you'll get the (Something that has to do with NX that rhymes with bucks).  If you want to redeem anything else just but it and it will be shipped to you.

Combat Arms News (Sept 28-Feb 2)

  As I said before, I will be bringing you guys news and updates for Combat Arms.  This will be the very first installment of the CAFB News!

•  XM-8 IS BACK! First of all, some very recent news is that the XM-8 has come back out of preview!  There is a catch though, the permanent duration is only available for 2 weeks only as of today February 2nd.  I suggest reading my review and trying to pick this weapon up before buying it.

• Cramming for Exams Event Over Hopefully you heard about this event before this post and were able to get in 100 games between Jan 21st-Jan 31st.  If you did, congratulations you get 7 Grey Hisec keys, and 8 Black keys.  If you didn't hopefully you got at least 50, that would give you 7 Grey Hisec keys.  I have over 30 cases in my inbox and I wouldn't mind getting rid of a few of them haha.

• New Specialist Weapon: Caltrops The Caltrops, the new specialist weapon has been released.  It comes with a bonus 2 Slot License for free!  After watching some demonstrations of the weapon on youtube,  it seems the caltrops is a trap.  It is supposed to "cause severe bleeding and slow down your enemy".  From the video I saw, it looked like it didn't do very much damage, but i'll be you could stack them and combo them together.  Price- 2.9k nx 7 days, and 5.9k nx for 30 days.(2 slot license only with 30 days Caltrops)

Create A Map Contest This is one of the best events that I have seen Combat Arms.  Nexon is actually letting you submit an idea for a new map in Combat Arms!  This means that if your idea wins, you get not only your map in the game, but rewards!  Actually, that's not the only person that get rewards.  Every eligible participant gets a Kalika Case.  The 2 Semi Finalists get 50k nx, and the 3 finalists get 100k.  The top 3 finalists will have their idea put on the Combat Arms facebook page and will be voted on for the winner.  I looked at the forums at ideas being submitted, and I saw some really cool ones.  I think a map made to be a University would be pretty cool, but that's just my opinion.  What would be funny is map on the moon with mountains and low gravity and stuff. OMG DID I JUST GET A MIDAIR NUTSHOT??!!

In other news, I finally got my KDR to 1.00!  I've been around the .98-.99 the whole time I've played this game, so I feel so accomplished!  Also...THE PACKERS ARE GOING TO BEAT THE STEELERS IN THE SUPER BOWL! YEAH BUDDY! Sorry I didn't know my caps was on :)

"This new generation rifle, based on the G36 is known for it's ergonomic design and its use of reinforced polymers in its construction. Its reduced recoil and versatile parts makes it a very reliable weapon."

  Just as you thought the G36E couldn't get any more versatile, Nexon comes out with the XM-8 assault rifle.  Technically this isn't a g36 variant, but in the description it says that it's based off of it.

  First of all, i'll do a quick comparison of the XM-8 and G36E.  The XM-8 has a few changes from the G36E, one of the big ones that you will notice right is the integrated scope.  The G36 has a unique scope with the magnification on an L96A1. The best way I can describe it is a circle with a cross hair in the middle.  I personally like the scope on it, but I know people who would rather have a normal sniper scope.  Back to the XM8.  The XM8 also has an integrated scope, but this one is the exacts same as the L96A1, REC7 Rangers, and, M417 SB.

  Some statistical differences are...

 Damage is a little bit different.  It is 41 compared to the G36's 45.  This isn't much to worry about because it will still usually be a 3-4 hit kill depending on the vest.

  Portability as it says in the description, the XM-8 was made to be light so it would obviously be lighter than the G36E.  The portability is 68 compared to the G36's 57.  One thing to note is that the G36C(The lighter version of the G36E without a scope) also has a 68 point portability, I found that very interesting.  

  Rate of Fire the XM8 has a 75 point ROF compared to 68 on the G36E.  This is a major difference and is where I think it separates from the G36.

  Accuracy the XM8 has an 88 point accuracy, while the G36E has a 90 point accuracy.  You really won't be able to tell the difference and the accuracy is GREAT for an AR as it is.

  Recoil the XM8 has a 68 point recoil which is the exact same as a G36E, so not much difference there statwise, but it really is different when scoped in.  Many people describe it as "bouncy" meaning the recoil settles really fast making it great for tap firing.  Endlessly says it's similar to the REC 7 Rangers recoil. 

Tips- The recoil makes this a tap fire gun at mid-long ranges, but with the rate of fire, you'll be able to tap fire a lot faster.  If your enemy is in close range don't be afraid to spray, but it is indeed a great tap firing gun.  Also, aim for the head :)

  

   Would I recommended this gun? 

         Heck yes I would! Especially if you're a fan of the G36 series.

  Hey guys!  I was thinking about starting a blog about Combat Arms for while now, and now that I finally got a laptop for Christmas I will be able to update it often.  What I plan to do with my slice of the internet is pretty much show you cool things about Combat Arms.  Such as... reviews, contests, news, montages and things like that.

    I've been playing Combat Arms since about it came out.  I'm really surprised at how many changes it's gone through since 2008.  The UI is totally different now than it was back then if you didn't know.  I'm into PC gaming (Like you didn't know that already) mostly because the only other console I have is a Nintendo Wii(Bleh).  I'd really like a PS3 if anyone has one lying around haha. I love, absolutely love sports. Well...i'm running out of things to say about myself so I think i'll end it there.  OH WAIT! One more thing I forgot to say is,  I live in Utah.  I highly recommend taking a skiing trip here because Utah has "The Best Snow On Earth".
